Espresso pots can be used on electric or gas stoves. On gas stoves, it is best to use a low to medium flame to avoid blackening the brewer.
Unscrew the top off the container and remove the filter basket at the bottom of the pot.
Before using the unit for the first time, fill the bottom with fresh water and brew a small amount of unwanted or spent coffee grounds. This process helps clean the unit and ensure that the pressure relief valve works well.
Fill the bottom portion of the pot with water up to the pressure valve.
Place the filter basket back into the bottom of the pot.
Fill the filter basket with espresso coffee grounds (do NOT pack the grounds or tamp it down too tightly)
Screw the top of the pot back on.
Put the pot on a heated stove top.
When all of the water has filtered to the top portion of the pot, it is ready to be taken off of the stove and enjoyed!
Espresso Pot is NOT dishwasher safe.
